Golf

The golf team is heading in the right direction as spring sports begin to wind down. The team looks poised to make a big break at the GHSA State Playoffs hosted locally in Pooler, Georgia. The team has placed respectably at several regional competitions, one of which being the City Championship, in which the team came in second place with Kokhi Maeda and Thomas Claiborne leading the charge. Several members of the team shot in the lower to mid-seventies, an impressive feat for non-golf watchers. The team practices consistently and looks to build on their previous successes, culminating in a state championship for the first time in over a decade. As for next year, the team will be led by their four senior members, Caden Hartley, Thomas Claiborne, Hunter Goldstein, and Miles Vaught, coupled with the play of several shining underclassmen. So, if you get a chance to head out to the Landings or the Savannah Golf Club, take advantage of the opportunity and go support one of the most successful Country Day sport teams.
