The tough loss to Whitefield Academy on February 27 officially marked the end of the season. This was a season filled with hard work, early morning practices, plenty of laughter, and unforgettable moments on the court. From pushing through tough losses to celebrating exciting wins, this team stayed together through it all. The team’s chemistry and support for one another will be forever missed.

The team finished the season with an overall record of 18–12, including an impressive 8–4 mark in region play. The day before the championship game, the Lady Hornets pulled off a huge upset over #2 Swainsboro with a score of 33-32. Although they fell short in the championship game, the team still earned a proud finish as Region Runner-Up

Several players were recognized for their outstanding performances this season, earning All-Region honors for their hard work.

• 2nd Team All Region: Luana Castillo

• Honorable Mention: SC Gilpin, Sarah Sussman, Sophie Myers

The upcoming seniors – Luana Castillo, Claudia Barrow, Madi Bueno, and Maddie McCray – are ready for the summer to get back in the gym and put in the work. It will be hard to fill the shoes that these seniors fill, but they are excited for the new leadership roles ahead of them. 

Lastly, big shoutout to our incredible, fantastic, and wonderful seniors – Molly, Sarah, SC, and Sophie! Your leadership, heart, and dedication have meant more than words can say. You’ve left a lasting impact on the program and will truly be missed!
