Dave's Hot Chicken Food Review

This past spring, Dave’s Hot Chicken opened in Savannah. We decided to try this viral restaurant. The atmosphere remains inviting, and we’ve had a great time there on a couple of occasions. It's always a fun spot!

Tender Sandwich: Oh my goodness, the balance between the bread, coleslaw, and the spiciness of the chicken, combined with the tanginess of the Dave’s Sauce, made for the perfect first bite. Mild was definitely the right choice, and there were many other spice levels to choose from! Unexpectedly, there was the pleasant surprise of a pickle in the second bite, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. 9/10

Fries: These fries, honestly, were meh. They had a little bit of seasoning, but not the punch we were expecting after eating that chicken. Especially with the presentation, which was lacking. Though when dipped in Dave’s Sauce and ketchup, the fries were not bad at all! 7.5/10

Mac N’ Cheese: Wow, another great dish! The portion was perfect, and the ratio of cheese, butter, and milk combined with the perfectly cooked noodles made this the perfect side. We’d definitely recommend getting this over the fries! 9/10

Frozen Strawberry Lemonade with Strawberry Popping Pearls: At first, this drink was great. It was refreshing, sweet, and tart at the same time. However, after the first few sips, it soon became too sweet to drink, and I had to put it down. Despite this, it is still a good drink for a hot day! 6.5/10

Vanilla Fruit Pebble Milkshake: This milkshake was lowkey a RIP OFF. It was just a basic, small vanilla shake with fruity pebbles sprinkled on top. The fruity pebbles didn’t enhance the flavor or texture very much. I had high hopes for this fruity drink, but I left pretty disappointed. 4.5/10
