Winter is the Best Season…
Written by: Cora Lee
You’re bundled up in a thick jacket, your breath freezing in the air. The air turns crisp, the days get shorter, and everything slows down just a little. Some people think that winter is dark and gloomy, but I think it is the best time of year.
Winter is full of celebrations that remind us what really matters. We spend hours of time bustling around, trying to get things done. Winter allows us to take a break and enjoy the holiday season, whether it’s Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s, or any other tradition. Winter holidays have a way of uniting communities together through shared spirit.
But let’s be honest, one of the biggest perks of winter is what’s not around. No mosquitoes buzzing in your ear, no sunburns, no sticky humidity that makes you regret going outside. The air feels crisp and clean, and you can actually enjoy being outside without melting.
People love to complain about winter, but maybe we’ve just been looking at it the wrong way. It’s not a season to endure, it’s a season to enjoy. Whether you use winter as a time to connect with family or to enjoy the lack of bugs, winter is the superior season.
