“Regretting You” Review

Written By: Virginia Glover and Grayson Grant

Starring McKenna Grace and Mason Thames, Regretting You is a heartfelt drama, exploring romance, grief, and family. Based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling book, Regretting You, it was released on October 24th, 2025. The movie was directed by Josh Boone, who previously directed other hit movies, including The Fault in Our Stars in 2014.

The movie tells the story of a mother and daughter, Morgan and Clara, who struggle to understand each other after a tragic accident changes their lives. With a plot twist that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this movie is perfect for a rainy day or if you’re just in the mood to watch a great movie. The characters juggle love, loss, and forgiveness throughout the movie, testing their relationships and helping them move forward toward the future. The movie has many plot twists, including the sudden death of 2 characters, who are later discovered to have had an unexpected relationship, sending Morgan and Clara’s worlds crashing down.

The actors’ performances are very powerful, with Grace and Thames delivering deep emotional portrayals that make the story feel raw and real. The soundtrack includes songs like “Everywhere, Everything” by Noah Kahan and Gracie Abrams, which really pulls the film together and contributes to every emotional moment.

We rate this movie a 10/10! We recommend watching with popcorn, candy, and friends. Go watch it in the movie theater or in the comfort of your own home; it will be released to Paramount+ after its theatrical run.
