Prom Review
Me when prom:
Prom Review
Tanner Kaminsky
Of the many events throughout high school, I think we can all agree that prom is probably the most anticipated and quintessential – and, let me tell you, this year did not disappoint. When arriving at my group’s prom house and settling in, I did not think anything could be more thrilling than simply spending time with my friends and heading to Tybee’s distinguished “Raw Ingredients”. However, I was sorely mistaken. Yes, I think it’s universally acknowledged that sushi is one of the most transcendent cuisines within our adopted culinary sphere – though I did not experience the real world until I entered the doors of prom, routinely blockaded by our deans, yielding breathalyzers. The decorations were beyond riveting – with huge kudos given to our prom-planning team – and the food, similarly, let no one down: fitting our Master’s week theme, there were sliders, chicken tenders, barbecue pork and a Caesar salad station. For dessert, an interminable line of students enjoyed cookies and brownies, baked to perfection by the chefs of Savannah Country Club. Finally, the dance itself was electrifying, with the dance floor packed with students, all of whom ecstatic and jumping along to the beat of songs, like “Wobble.” Even people like Clara Garola said, “I finna be in the pit!” As the night came to a close, the students walked disheartenedly out the doors and waved goodbye to the landmark that is the Savannah Country Club. It’s also no surprise that we, the students, are eagerly awaiting the festivities of next year’s prom.
