The week leading up to the Homecoming Dance and Game was filled with fun and exciting themes and mini-games. Monday was Meme Monday, and the boys of each grade played against each other in volleyball. Tuesday’s theme was Nantucket, and we played some water balloon toss and tug of war, with the seniors winning the tug of war. Wednesday was Wig Wednesday, so every grade wore fun wigs; the seniors wore black senior jerseys with black wigs, the juniors wore white, sophomores’ pink, and the freshman blue. The mini-game of the day was faculty volleyball.. Thursday was Throwback Thursday. The seniors dressed up in the 2000s, the juniors dressed up in the 1990s, sophomores’ 1980s and the freshman 1970s. The mini-game of the day was class karaoke. Friday was a regular spirit dress-down, but with country accessories. We had an all school Pep Rally. GO HORNETS!

Our 2026 homecoming game was against the Savannah Christian Preparatory School Raiders. It was an intense game. The student section was a wild thang. After nerve—racking conditions for the past two hours, the Hornets finally beat the Raiders! Everyone stormed the field, parents, toddlers, kids, and all. The score was 21-10!

The dance was bonkers! The deck in the quad broke in too many different spots. Vibes were high for Flex, Swag Surf, Party in the USA, Mr. Brightside, Baby, Time of Our Lives, and Low. Crowd surfing was definitely in the air. The party began to die after the students got kicked off the deck onto the wood chips.
