Teacher Interview: Dr. Goldberg
Written by: Emily Grace James, Presley Kimball, and Mollie Morgan
For this edition of the Buzz, we have chosen Dr. Goldberg for our teacher interview. Dr. Goldberg graduated from Purdue in 1998, and then he attended the University of California, Los Angeles for graduate school. During his time at school, he graduated with a degree in European History. Dr. Goldberg has only been teaching for around ten years. He decided to become a teacher because of his love for the study and discipline of history. When asked if he had to teach another subject, he said he would rather coach football, specifically as a defensive coordinator. A normal day for Dr. Goldberg looks like this… he wakes up at around 6:00 am, because he has to do his hair, of course! After brushing his teeth with Crest toothpaste, Dr. Goldberg will go and eat breakfast. For breakfast, he usually reaches for a Perfect Bar, specifically one with chocolate! After breakfast, Dr. Goldberg usually leaves for school at 7:20. Dr. Goldberg goes about teaching, looking forward to fourth period, and then heads to the cafeteria, hoping it's chicken parmesan for lunch, and then will go home at around 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, depending on if he has a meeting. Once home, Dr. Goldberg said that he just prepares for the next day! His favorite options for dinner are orange chicken from Sams or Costco, or Oakridge, because it is within walking distance. Dr. Goldberg goes to bed pretty early at 9:30. Outside of school, Dr. Goldberg has many hobbies. His favorite hobby is collecting coins. His favorite coin is his 1544 Swedish Daler, and speaking of Sweden, that has been Dr. Goldberg’s favorite travel spot!
Thank you so much, Dr. Goldberg, for all of the amazing work you do for this school!
