How to Actually Enjoy Fall During School

Written by: Cora Lee

Use autumn magic to win over your deadlines.

Start your morning right

  • The night before, redecorate your room to match with the fall weather, so when you wake up, you are reminded that it’s going to finally cool down. Add fairy lights, plaid throws, or scented candles.

  • Drink a hot cocoa or a pumpkin spice latte, extra points for a fall-themed cup.

Take advantage of the fall weather

  • Go outside and enjoy the cooler weather. Do your homework, studying, and reading outside, snug in a blanket.

  • Or even crack the windows to let in a fresh breeze to boost your productivity

Celebrate the little things

  • Carve pumpkins, or even just draw on a face using Sharpie.

  • Hang out with friends at a cafe. Plan to get together to bake some seasonal treats–apple cider and donuts, anyone?

Curate a fall playlist

  • Use your soundtrack to set the mood.

  • Go for lofi, soft pop, classical, or indie.

Make your study routine aesthetic

  • Light a candle with fall scents like vanilla or cinnamon. You can also use essential oils.

  • Or head to your local cafe and study there with headphones to change the scenery. Bonus: you can order a fall drink like salted maple coffee to help you focus!
