Editor of the Issue: Suri Desai
Written By: Paxton Towe and Mimi Dulany
Despite being beyond occupied with the copious amounts of homework, frequent tests, and long essays that come with the painfully long Junior year, Suri Desai has made sure to make The Buzz and providing polished writing a priority in her life. Suri joined The Buzz her Freshman year, and since then, has been pumping out multiple articles in every edition.
In Q1, Suri has written about “teacher besties”, taking the time to learn niche aspects of the friendship between Mrs. Floyd and Mrs. Duthu, citing nicknames, origin stories, and their fashion skills. However, her clear passion for nearly flawless can be seen throughout her time on The Buzz. In her opinion piece on the onset of Yondr pouches, Suri again does her research, asking students around campus what their beliefs on the Yondr pouches are. She addresses both sides of the argument, displaying point why they are beneficial, and why they might have negative effects. With this neutral tone, Suri is still able to allow her voice to strive in a unique way.
Furthermore showing her depth, Suri is also an effective write when it comes to analyzing fiction. In her article about A Good Girls Guide to Murder, Suri quickly tells the reader the important plot points of the show, and then dives into the messages and implications for the audience. Her attention to detail and eagerness to explain to the reader important information is unique and clear, and allows the reader to be fully engaged.
Ultimately, we thank Suri for the hard work she constantly does, and look forward to giving her more articles!
